The port has secured funding to deepen its access channel and is acquiring 100+ acres to expand its footprint. Delta Biofuel - $100 million facility currently under construction converting bagasse from the sugarmill into biofuel pellets. The project will create ~200 direct jobs and 150-300 indirect jobs.
